Vieux Shoes is a modern footwear brand rooted in legacy and lifted by intention. Crafted in the heart of Portugal, our shoes blend European elegance with modern comfort — a fusion of time-honored techniques and thoughtful design made for everyday movement and effortless sophistication.

Founded by Phil and Renée Piediscalzo — lifelong shoe fitters and owners of Orleans Shoe Co. — Vieux was born from over two decades of helping customers find their perfect fit. Our last name, Piediscalzo, means “barefoot” — and that’s the foundation of everything we do: shoes that feel as natural, grounded, and freeing as walking barefoot.

Phil and Renée Piediscalzo have spent over two decades fitting shoes at Orleans Shoe Co. in New Orleans. Vieux and Jax & Bard are the shoes they always wished more brands made — with the leather, the construction, and the feel that feet deserve and rarely get. 

Both brands are made with real leather uppers and real leather footbeds. Leather that softens with wear, breathes with the foot, and shapes itself to you over time. The way the best things age.

Jax & Bard is a women's comfort sandal and shoe line, revived from the original brand. Leather upper, leather footbed, designed for all-day wear and built for the way your feet feel at the end of one.
